Privacy policy

Your texts

All tools run entirely in your browser: the texts you type or paste are not sent to us. The settings of the transliterators, your ad choice and the latest news item you have seen are only stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). So that the tools also work offline, the site stores its own files on your device. We use no visitor statistics.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which may log technical data (e.g. IP address, browser, time) for security and operation. See Netlify’s privacy policy.

Ads and cookies

We show ads through Google AdSense so that the tools stay free. For this, every page loads a script from Google, so your browser contacts Google’s servers, which receive technical data (e.g. your IP address). Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure the effectiveness of ads and prevent fraud.

If you consent, Google may also show personalized ads, i.e. ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Before you consent, or if you decline, we ask Google only for non-personalized ads, which are based on the content of the page and your approximate location (e.g. your city); Google may use cookies for these too, e.g. to limit how often an ad is shown and to prevent fraud. Google may show its own consent prompt to visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

More about this: How Google uses cookies in advertising. You can also turn off personalized ads in your ad settings at Google.

Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to request information about, correction or deletion of your personal data. For data protection questions, write to us through the RiVo contact form – both sites belong to the same project.
